NOVA SINTRA: The city of the flowers
Elevated to National Heritage in 2013, Nova Sintra is the county seat and the largest urban center of the island. But the city, with a little more than 7 thousand inhabitants, preserves the features and the rhythm of its colonial past. It is around Eugénio Tavares square that the people from Brava live their daily life. The house where he lived was transformed into a museum. At night there are often small tocatines, traditional music halls, in bars or private houses open to visitors.
